How Samir Medhaj Astro / Kundli Pro collects, uses, and protects your data across Web, Android, and iOS.

🌐 Cross-Platform Scope
This Privacy Policy governs all Samir Medhaj Astro / Kundli Pro properties: the responsive Web
application, the Android application (APK / Google Play distribution), and the iOS application
(IPA / Apple App Store distribution). Regardless of which platform you use, the same data protection
standards described here apply.
📋 Data We Collect
- Account information: full name, email address, mobile number, and a securely hashed password.
- Birth details: date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (with resolved latitude/longitude) - required to compute your astrological chart.
- Device information: device model, OS version, app version, and a push-notification token (FCM), used only to deliver the app experience and daily astrological alerts.
- Usage data: pages viewed and features used, to improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.
- Payment metadata: transaction ID, plan purchased, and payment status from our payment gateway partners. We never receive or store your full card, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials - these are handled entirely by RBI/PCI-DSS compliant gateways.
📍 Location Permission Disclosure On-Device Use Only
Kundli Pro requests Precise Location (GPS/Network) access strictly to compute
high-precision astrological coordinates for your birth chart:
- Accurate Ascendant (Lagna) and Bhava (house) cusps, which are extremely sensitive to birthplace latitude/longitude.
- Correct sunrise, sunset, and Local Mean Time corrections used throughout Panchang, Muhurat, and Dasha calculations.
- Auto-detecting your current city for live Panchang, Choghadiya, and Hora widgets when you allow it.
Location is used for calculation purposes on-device or within your active session and is stored only
as part of your saved birth-chart profile (so you don't need to re-enter it) - it is never used for
advertising, audience profiling, or shared with any third party.
🔔 Background Running Permission
The mobile app may request permission to run a lightweight background task or maintain a persistent
notification channel. This is used exclusively to deliver:
- Your daily Panchang summary at your chosen time.
- Planetary transit and Muhurat alerts (e.g. an upcoming Abhijit Muhurat or auspicious Choghadiya window).
- Rahu Kaal and inauspicious-timing reminders so you can plan important activities around them.
Background execution is never used for tracking, analytics harvesting, or any purpose unrelated to delivering these astrological notifications, and can be disabled at any time from your device's app settings.
🚫 Zero Third-Party Sharing Legally Binding
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data, birth details, location, or contact
information with any third-party advertiser, data broker, or external firm, under any circumstances.
Your birth chart data is used solely to generate the astrological calculations and reports you
request, and to operate your account.
Limited data is shared only with the following categories of service providers, strictly to operate
the platform, and under contractual confidentiality obligations:
- Payment gateway processors (Razorpay / Cashfree / Stripe) - to process a transaction you initiate.
- Cloud infrastructure and database hosting providers - to store your account securely.
- Push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging) - to deliver the alerts described above.
🛡️ Data Security
- All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text - they are stored using industry-standard salted hashing.
- Sessions and API access use short-lived, signed tokens with device-bound validation.
- Database access is restricted to authenticated backend services only; administrative access is role-gated and audit-logged.
⚖️ Your Rights
You may, at any time, request to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate birth or account details.
- Request deletion of your account and associated saved charts.
- Withdraw consent for notifications or background alerts (via device settings).
